50-01 & 650-01 Pressure Relief, Pressure Sustaining Valve

[50-01 & 650-01]

Cla-Val Models 50-01 and 650-01 Pressure Relief Valves are hydraulically operated, pilot-controlled, modulating valves designed to maintain constant upstream pressure within close limits. Model 50-01 is the full port version of the valve. Model 650-01 is the reduced port version of the valve. Both are ideal for pressure relief, pressure sustaining, backpressure, or unloading functions in a by-pass system.

Pressure Sustaining Service

When installed in a line between an upper zone and a lower area of heavy demand, the valve acts to maintain desired upstream pressure to prevent "robbing" of the upper zone. Water in excess of pressure setting is allowed to flow to an area of heavy demand, control is smooth, and pressure regulation is positive.

Pressure Relief Service

This fast opening, slow closing relief valve provides system protection against high pressure surges on pump start up and pump shut down by dissipating the excess pressure to a safe location.

[52-01 & 652-01]

Cla-Val Models 52-01 and 652-01 Surge Anticipator Valves are indispensable for protecting pumps, pumping equipment and all applicable pipelines from dangerous pressure surges caused by rapid changes of flow velocity within a pipeline.

When using these valves, pumping systems are started and stopped gradually preventing harmful surges from occurring.

58-01 & 658-01 Combination Back Pressure and Solenoid Shut-Off Valve

[58-01 & 658-01]

Cla-Val Models 58-01 and 658-01 valves perform two separate functions. They maintain a constant backpressure by discharging excess pressure downstream and when the solenoid is activated, close drip-tight.

When inlet pressure is greater than the control setting, the valve opens. When inlet pressure is equal to the control setting, the pilot modulates the valve, maintaining the preselected backpressure. When inlet pressure is less than the control setting, the pilot system closes the valve drip tight.

100-01 Hytrol Valve

The Model 100-01 is the basic valve used in nearly all Cla-Val Automatic control valves. it is the valve of choice for system applications requiring remote control, pressure regulation, solenoid operation, rate of flow control, liquid level control or check valve operation.

This valve meets Drinking Water System Components - Health Effects Standard.  Cla-Val Model 100-01 also meets the requirements for lead content in drinking water products, encompassing the requirements in California AB1953 and Vermont 9 VSA Chapter 63, Subsection 1C.

100-20 600 Series Hytrol Valve

The reduced cavitation characteristics of the 100-20 Hytrol Valve are the basis for the Cla-Val 600 Series. The rugged simplicity of design and packless construction assure a long life of dependable, trouble-free operation. Its smooth flow passages and fully guided disc and diaphragm assembly assure optimum control when used in piping systems requiring remote control, pressure regulation, solenoid operation, rate of flow control or check valve operation.
